BJP releases list of candidates for Lok Sabha and assembly by-elections
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 10 and one will be able to withdraw nomination only till June 13. As announced by the Election Commission, polling will be held on June 23 and results will be declared on June 26.
Political stir has intensified due to the by-elections in the country. All the parties have geared up for the elections. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the list of its candidates for the Lok Sabha by-elections and the assembly by-elections. As per the list, the party has fielded Ghanshyam Lodhi and Dinesh Lal Yadav from Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, it has been decided to contest CM Manik Saha from Tripura, Rajesh Bhatia from Delhi and Gangotri Kujur from Jharkhand.
Bhojpuri star Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirhua has been fielded again as a BJP candidate from Azamgarh. Earlier, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he was given ticket from Azamgarh, but then he lost the election. Along with this, the party has also nominated Ghanshyam Lodhi as its candidate from Rampur.
Apart from this, Manik Shah from Tripura's Town Bordowli, Ashok Sinha from Agartala, Swapan Das Pal from Surma, Malita Debnath from Jubrajnagar, Gundlapally Bharat Kumar Yadav from Atmakur in Andhra Pradesh, Gangotri Kujur from Mandar in Jharkhand and Rajesh Bhatia from Rajinder Nagar in Delhi. BJP has given ticket. Apart from this, Aam Aadmi Party has already declared Durgesh Pathak as its candidate from Rajinder Nagar in Delhi. This seat is vacant after Raghav Chadha went to Rajya Sabha.
As per the election dates announced by the Election Commission, the process of nomination for the Lok Sabha bypolls is going to start from June 6. Whereas June 9 is the last date for nominations.
