The Karnataka hijab issue is catching on in the country. Everyone is expressing their opinion on this matter. Recently, Sonam Kapoor also reacted on the hijab case. She compared hijab to Sikh turban on social media, due to which she is now embroiled in controversies. Now BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has got furious over Sonam's statement and he has reprimanded the actress fiercely.
Reacting to the hijab case, Sonam Kapoor had posted a post on social media story, which also had 2 photos. One photo showed a Sikh wearing a turban, while the other showed a Muslim woman wearing a hijab. Along with these two photos, Sonam wrote, "Turban can be a choice, but hijab is not."
Manjinder Singh Sirsa shared this post of Sonam Kapoor and wrote in response, "Dastar or 'Dast-e-yaar' means 'Hand of God'. It is not an option, but the blessings of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It is an integral part of the identity of the Sikhs. It is absolutely wrong to compare the dastar and the hijab in this context."
The BJP leader further said, "Sonam has shared a very controversial post on her Instagram. First of all, I would like to say to Sonam Kapoor that by putting such controversial posts, it is very difficult to fight between two religions." It is wrong. The dastar you have compared is very important for Sikhs. It is a part of our body, not an accessory."
