BJP Annamalai Pledges IIM NIA NCB Units: BJP state president K Annamalai on Friday pledged to establish an IIM, NIA, and NCB units in Coimbatore, where he is running in the April 19 Lok Sabha election.
Announcing the party's manifesto for the Parliamentary constituency, he said the party would work for "100 assurances in 500 days."
Other promises included establishing Navodaya schools and addressing issues related to the Noyyal and Kousika rivers.
It was promised that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) would be established in the city.
The legendary leader and former Chief Minister K Kamaraj will also be remembered with round-the-clock mobile food vans, he said.
Annamalai promised to upgrade the airport into an international terminal and to create a cancer treatment center.
"When people bless us, your brother Annamalai will bring Coimbatore on the international map," he told Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP Mahila Morcha national president.
