More than 80 cases are registered against Rampur city MLA Azam Khan. In the year 2014, a case of sedition came against Azam Khan. A complaint was filed in the court.

A complaint of sedition was filed against Samajwadi Party MLA Azam Khan lodged in Sitapur Jail. The hearing in this case was going on in the MP-MLA Magistrate Court. The court dismissed this complaint after hearing after almost seven years. This complaint was dismissed as the plaintiff did not present concrete evidence in the court. The complainant has now asked to file this matter in the court of District and Sessions Judge for revision.
