Ayodhya to light up 12 lakh diyas.

Ayodhya: Deepotsav will set another record this year with Yogi Adityanath's government planning to light 12 lakh diyas or earthen lamps in Ayodhya in the last mega extravaganza of its five years, before the state rushes to the polls . Amid the ongoing construction of a large Ramjanmabhoomi temple, the state government plans to set a world record by lighting 9 lakhs of lamps on the banks of the Saryu, while other parts of the temple city will be lit with 3 lakhs of lamps on November 3 after sunset.

On the first day, a Ramlila will be staged by a cultural team from Janakpur, Nepal. In addition, Ramlilas from Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Assam, Karnataka and West Bengal were also on the program of the five-day program.
