Apple gave the good news to the fans! The first picture of the foldable iPhone blew the senses of the people
Apple has received a patent for a hinge that can be used in a foldable iPhone, MacBook Pro, or other Apple device.
Another Apple patent has just recently surfaced online. This time around, the company has been granted a patent for a new hinge mechanism that can be used on the MacBook or the upcoming foldable iPhone. People are very much liking the new picture. If the foldable iPhone comes, it will directly compete with Samsung's foldable phone. Apple has patented thin but strong hinges that can be used for a foldable iPhone.
According to a PatentlyApple report, the patent was titled "Electronic Devices with Fiber Composite Friction Hinges". In simple words, this means that the Cupertino-based giant is looking to build a flexible layer (could be a flexible display) that lies on top of the hinge mechanism. Also, the material means that the new hinge will be thinner but still strong enough. Since the brand hasn't mentioned any specific device, it could possibly be used on a MacBook hinge as well, but it seems more appropriate to have a hinge on a foldable iPhone.
