Ancient Hindu temple attacked in Bangladesh, mischievous elements destroyed the idol

In Bangladesh, miscreants destroyed an idol of a deity in a very old Hindu temple. Following this incident, the police started a massive search operation in the area. According to the information, this incident has been carried out in a temple of colonial era in western Bangladesh. It is known that many such incidents have come to the fore in Bangladesh. These incidents have also created a dispute between the two communities.

Local news portal quoted the temple's president Sukumar Kunda as saying that the Kali temple authorities in Dautia village of Bangladesh's Zhenaidah district found the pieces of the idol on Friday. He said the head of the idol was found on the road half a kilometer away from the temple premises. Kunda said that this temple is very ancient. He said that people of Hindu community have been worshiping here since colonial times.

The incident comes 24 hours after the 10-day long Durga Puja festival ended in Bangladesh. After the end of Durga Puja in Bangladesh, idols were immersed on the occasion of Vijayadashami at various river ghats. Chandnath Poddar, general secretary of the Bangladesh Puja Utsav Parishad, told news agency PTI, "The incident took place at the temple of Zenaidah at night." Professor Chandnath Poddar at Dhaka University described the incident as sporadic and unfortunate. Because no such incidents happened anywhere in the country during the 10-day Dussehra.
