NSE Fraud case: In the NSE co-location case, a CBI court in Delhi on Wednesday sent group operating officer and advisor to the former MD of National Stock Exchange (NSE) Anand Subramaniam to 14-day judicial custody.
Earlier on Tuesday, a special court had allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to interrogate former National Stock Exchange CEO Chitra Ramakrishna for seven days in the NSE co-location scandal case. The agency itself is probing the alleged allegations.
During the interrogation so far, Ramakrishna has tried to pin the blame on the lower office bearers of the exchange. The CBI, while seeking 14-day custodial interrogation, told the court that in the four rounds of questioning so far, Ramakrishna has avoided giving any direct answers to the questions asked and has tried to mislead the agency.
