After campaigning for the last phase of assembly elections in five states ended, Home Minister Amit Shah claimed massive victory in four BJP-ruled states as well as better public support in Punjab. According to him, the benefits of the public welfare policies of the Modi government for seven years and the success achieved by the BJP governments in the state in taking their benefits to the lowest level are going to directly benefit the BJP.
BJP National President JP Nadda said that the election campaign of BJP was conducted in a scientific and organized manner, due to which the party was able to reach out to all sections in all the assembly constituencies.
These two top BJP leaders were jointly addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in New Delhi. Rejecting the opposition's allegations of religious polarization during the election campaign, Amit Shah said the BJP's agenda was completely focused on development and the benefits of schemes to the lower strata of the society. He enumerated the development works in four BJP-ruled states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa in detail.
According to Home Minister Shah, especially in Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, instead of casteism, familyism and appeasement, priority was given to development and the work of the government. Because of this, for the first time, democracy is flourishing at the grassroots level in Uttar Pradesh. People are free from the shackles of casteism and familyism and are voting in the name of development.
