This meeting has become talk of the town.This will be the first meetings of two leaders since Mamata assumed office for a third term.
On Wednesday The West Bengal Chief Minister is likely to meet the President of India Ram Nath Kovind and Congress working President Sonia Gandhi.
Mamata Banerjee arrived in New Delhi on Monday on a five-day visit. According to a schedule released by All India Trinamool Congress, on Tuesday, She will also meet today, host of Congress leaders, including Kamal Nath and Anand Sharma.
The meetings with top leaders of political parties become more important because she is keen to see the Trinamool Congress play a decisive role in the next Lok Sabha polls in 2024.
According to the sources, Mamata will meet leaders of different political parties, as most of them are attending the Monsoon session of Parliament. Mamata had said earlier, “ Several political leaders have requested that they want to meet me. I will try to adjust and accommodate as much as possible in two to three days.”
“She will definitely meet Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal,”Sources said.
This is the first visit of All India Trinamool Congress supremo after she lead her party to power in West Bengal for the third time in a row.
