Akshay Kumar’s Mother Passes Away, Actor Expresses Grief On Twitter

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's mother, Aruna Bhatia, passed away on Wednesday morning today. The Bell Bottom actor expressed the grief of his mother's passing away on his Twitter page. Akshay said that his maa was his core, and she peacefully left the world.

Akshay Kumar tweeted, "She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti."

For the past few days, Akshay's mother, Aruna Bhatia, wasn't feeling well. She was admitted to the ICU at a hospital in Mumbai. A few days ago, Akshay flew down from the UK to the city to spend time with his mother. The actor was shooting his film Cinderella in the UK. 

In an interview earlier, Akshay talked about his bond with his mother. The actor had said, "The bond between a mother and her son is so strong yet so gentle...nothing could come between us, no amount of miles or continents can keep us from letting each other know every day that I would be nothing and no one without her."
