ACB Issues Notice to Arvind Kejriwal Over ₹15 Crore Allegation: On Friday, the ACB issued notice to national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, to appear before officials to answer accusations that bribes were offered to AAP MLAs. Following the lieutenant governor's order to commence an inquiry into the ex-CM's poaching allegations against the BJP, an ACB team entered Kejriwal's residence.
The AAP leaders alleged that the BJP had hatched a "conspiracy" even before the poll results came out and challenged the ACB's legal authority to probe the allegations.
BJP leader Vishnu Mittal dubbed AAP leaders' charges of poaching as the most serious but without any proof. He further accused the party in power in Delhi of "trying to create panic and a situation of unrest" in the national capital by concocting `false and misleading information.'

On Thursday, Kejriwal accused the BJP of poaching 16 party candidates. There were offers to AAP candidates. If they switched, the BJP offered ministerial berths and ₹15 crore each."
Polling for the 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi took place on Wednesday at 13,766 polling stations. Results are expected to be out on February 8, as political parties are busy with strategy meetings while trying to find some time to relax.
Counting Day Preparations
- The EVMs and VVPAT machines used in the Delhi Assembly elections are being securely stored in 70 strong rooms under a three-tier security system, an official said on Thursday.
- Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said that on Saturday, 5,000 personnel including counting supervisors, assistants, micro-observers, and trained supporting staff will be deployed for counting purposes.
- For the sake of declaring transparency, randomization and selection of VVPATs will happen in five assembly constituencies for the counting of the voter slips, she stated.
- With Saturday’s result verdict on the political scenario of Delhi weighing large, the AAP is hoping for its third consecutive term, while the BJP stages a massive comeback into Delhi politics. The Congress hopes to make a dent into Delhi politics.
- 60.44% reported for this time. The last 62.59% participated during the assembly elections held in 2020, while last year’s Lok Sabha elections clocked an abysmal 56%.

What exit polls predicted?
In mixed predictions on the winning margin of the BJP, one exit poll claims that the party could win anywhere between 51 and 60 of Delhi’s 70 assembly seats, while two others seem to give an upper hand to AAP. Three exit polls released this Thursday predict good performance by BJP in the Delhi assembly elections, estimating its vote share at 48-49% and 45-61 seats in the 70-member house.
- Axis My India, which had made an accurate prediction for the 2020 Delhi elections, now puts the vote share for the BJP-led alliance at 48%, while AAP, the ruling party, is projected at 42%.
- In terms of seats, Axis had predicted BJP at 45-55 seats, AAP 15-25 seats, Congress 0-1 seat, and possibly 0-1 seat for other parties first.
- P-MARQ exit poll predicts BJP getting 39-49 seats, AAP getting 21-31, and Congress getting 0-1.
- Matrize's exit poll predicts that the fight will be very close: BJP could get 35-40 seats, AAP 32-37, and Congress could win one.
- WeePreside’s exit poll gives AAP a lead with estimates of 46-52 seats for AAP, while BJP is estimated at 18-23 seats and Congress can secure 0-1 seats.
- Today’s Chanakya forecasts huge numbers in favor of BJP with a vote share of 49% and more or less 45-57 seats (51 seats with an error margin of six). AAP could manage anything between 13-25 with a vote share of 41%. Most likely, other parties will have a seat or three.
- According to CNX exit polls, the BJP is projected to win massively with 49-61 seats with a 49.05% vote share. AAP is expected to win 10-19 seats with 41.52% vote share, and Congress, after a gap of 10 years, may win 0-1 seats bagging a 5.37% vote share.
