67th National Film Awards bestow honours on films and artistes for the year 2019

The 67th National Film Awards that were delayed by almost a year due to the pandemic, has finally announced the list of winners on Monday. The National Film Awards ceremony is held on 3rd May, every year. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, last year's ceremony was postponed. On Monday, in a press conference at the National Media Centre, New Delhi announced the names of the winners. The whole ceremony was broadcasted live on PIB India's official YouTube channel.
The Best Feature Film bestows on Director Priyadarshan's Malayalam war epic Marakkar— Lion of the Arabian Sea also headlined as Mohanlal while An Engineered Dream, a Hindi film has bagged the award for Best Non-Feature Film. And Kastoori has been awarded the Best Children’s Film award. The best acting awards were honoured to Manoj Bajapayee for Bhonsle, Dhanush for Tamil film Asuran, and Kangana Ranaut for two of her films— Panga and Manikarnika— The Queen of Jhansi.
The supporting actor awards went to Vijay Sethupathi for Super Deluxe and Pallavi Joshi for The Tashkent Files, while director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan was conferred eBahattar Hoorain.
In the Feature Film category, there were 461 films, in the Non-Feature Film category 220 films, and in most film-friendly states, there were entries from 13 states, this year.
