Students from Lviv's Daynlo Halytsky Medical University, 70 km from the Polish border, wait to be evacuated from neighboring Ukraine, which has been battered by Russian attacks.
In a shared photo of one of the 40 Indian students hiking the Poland-Ukraine border, they can be seen walking in a line along an empty road.
The embassy has said that Indian nationals arriving at the Poland-Ukraine border by public transport are advised to cross the border at Shehini-Medyka and not at the Krakowiec crossing. According to the embassy, the Krakowiec crossing is only for those who are reaching there by their own car.
