It has been learned about the girl that she had come in contact with an Omicron infected woman from Nigeria. At present, the condition of the child is normal and she has minor symptoms. The girl, along with her mother and some other infected family members, has been kept in the special covid ward of Jijamata Hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad. Earlier, 6 people of the same family were infected with Omicron. In which the woman's brother and her two daughters were involved. Genome sequencing of 22 corona infected patients who came in contact with the woman was done.
Maharashtra has the highest number of 'Omicron' infected patients in the country. Now the number of 'Omicron' infected in the state has increased to 17. Genome sequencing reports of more than 30 suspected patients are yet to come. In view of the increasing risk of infection in Mumbai, Section 144 has been imposed for the next two days.
