On Thursday, a minister and three MLAs resigned from the BJP. That is, in one day 4 MLAs resigned from the party which includes Minister Dharam Singh Saini, MLA Mukesh Verma, Vinay Shakya and Bala Prasad Awasthi. Dharam Singh Saini met Akhilesh after reaching the SP office.
Mukesh Verma is the MLA from Shikohabad while Vinay Shakya is the MLA from Auraiya's Bidhuna seat. In the last days, the number of MLAs who have resigned from the BJP has reached 14.
Dara Singh wrote in his resignation letter to Yogi and said I have fulfilled my responsibility with all my heart and soul, but the government is neglecting the farmers, the backward, the underprivileged, the unemployed. Apart from this, I am hurt by the playing of backwards and Dalits regarding reservation. That's why I resign from the cabinet.
Swami Prasad also wrote the same in the resignation.
