2.35 lakh new cases, 871 deaths in the last 24 hours , Positivity rate decreased

On Friday, 2 lakh 35 thousand 532 new corona infected were found in the country. During this, 3.35 lakh people were cured, while 871 people died. A day before this, on Thursday, 2,51,209 people were found infected and 627 people died. As compared to the previous day, 15,677 less infected have been found i.e. a decrease of 6% has been seen in new cases.

The positivity rate came down to 13.39% on Friday. A day before this, on Thursday, the positivity rate was 15.88%. For the last 8 days, there is a steady decline in new cases. During the third wave, the maximum number of 3.47 lakh new cases were found on 20 January.

At present, the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment in the country is 20.04 lakh. Since the beginning of the epidemic, about 4.08 crore people have been affected by the infection in the country.
