1 crore healthcare, 2 crore frontline workers will get vaccine free of cost: Dr Harsh Vardhan

This includes one crore healthcare and two crore frontline workers.
The Minister has further said that details of how further 27 crore priority beneficiaries are to be vaccinated until July are being finalised.
Dr Harsh Vardhan tweeted from his Twitter handle, “In 1st phase of #COVID19Vaccination free #vaccine shall be provided across the nation to most prioritised beneficiaries that incl 1 crore healthcare & 2 crore frontline workers. Details of how further 27 cr priority beneficiaries are to be vaccinated until July are being finalised.”
Dr. Harsh Vardhan said this while reviewing the dry run of the Covid-19 vaccination process in Delhi.
The Health Ministry has posted a video this morning and wrote, “Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan reviews dry run of administering #COVID19vaccine at Urban Primary Health Centre in Daryaganj, Delhi.”
The Ministry has started a country-wide dry run of mass vaccination process from January 2.
The purpose is to ensure the smooth implementation of the government’s plan to vaccine the priority group as soon as a vaccine gets approval from the drug regulator Drug Controller General of India (DCGI).
Dr. Harsh Vardhan has earlier said, “I have utmost confidence of the success of this critical drive where the entire end-to-end process will be put to test in field environment.”
“My heartfelt gratitude to the governments of all the States & UTs for their responsible & active participation in this exercise,” he added.
