Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra is yet to release, but fans are already admirers of their real-life chemistry. No one knows when the film will be releasing, but people are curious to know if the duo plans to get married anytime soon. In the past two years, there have been multiple rumours regarding their wedding. Recently, Lara Dutta commented something about the couple, which grabbed everyone's attention.
Lara Dutta is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, Bell Bottom. The film also stars Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor. Recently, the actor was asked about her thoughts on Alia and Ranbir. But her quotes made headlines as everyone thought she is predicting the Brahmastra couple's wedding.
In an interaction with Times Now, Lara was asked to comment on young couples in Bollywood. The Bell Bottom actor said that she is from the older generation and doesn't know who is dating whom. "I might say something about some couple, and I wouldn't even know if they are still together or not." When she was specifically asked about Ranbir-Alia, Dutta answered, "I believe that they are getting married this year."
Well, it looks like the actor is not happy with how the media has misquoted her statements about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's wedding. Today, Lara shared the media for the same and wrote on Twitter, "As lovely a couple as both these actors make, I’m certainly no seer or soothsayer to predict any such thing! Media needs to stop putting words in our mouth and coming up with completely nonsensical news!"

Meanwhile, a few months ago, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he and Alia had plans to get married in 2020. However, they couldn't do it because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor had stated, "I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life."
