Amazon India introduces 'Distance Assistant' to maintain social distancing among employees
To overcome the problem, Amazon India has taken the help of technology. It has developed a ‘Distance Assistance’ with the help of artificial intelligence to help people maintain a healthy distance from colleagues.

During Covid-19, this is one of the protocols to spread the infection. However, often we fail to do that because this is our habit.
To overcome the problem, Amazon India has taken the help of technology. It has developed a ‘Distance Assistance’ with the help of artificial intelligence to help people maintain a healthy distance from colleagues.
The company developed and used this technology in its offices in the US and other countries. After its positive response, the company has announced the installation of Distance Assistant’ in its operation offices in India too.
It will not only remind colleagues to maintain a safe distance but it will also give real-time feedback in case of its violation.
The company is confident that this technology will help in enhancing safety standards among thousands of its employees at various locations in India.
With the help of a monitor, camera, and a local computing device, the technology will keep a watch of every movement of office workers and visitors and if there is any occasion where the safe distance norm is being violated, it will provide immediate feedback.
Experts say that this technology is highly useful during the Covid-19 pandemic as its efficiency is perfect.
