The father of a deceased medical student has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court. He has demanded a compensation of one thousand crore rupees, he claims that his daughter died due to the side effect of the corona vaccine.
Petitioner Dilip Lunawat claimed that his daughter Snehal Lunawat was assured that the vaccines are completely safe and pose no risk or danger to the body. So she was forced to take the vaccine in college as she was a health worker.
In his petition, he said that his daughter was forced to take the vaccine as she was a health worker while false assurances were given by the director of DCGI and AIIMS that the vaccines were safe. This narrative was carried forward without verification by the state authorities.
He said that his daughter had taken the vaccine on January 28, 2021 and died on March 1, 2021 due to its side effects. The petitioner argued that on October 2, 2021, the AEFI committee of the Central Government accepted that the death of his daughter was due to a side effect of the Covishield vaccine.
