All FIRs against former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma will be transferred to Delhi: Supreme Court

Giving great relief to former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, the Supreme Court has ordered to transfer all the FIRs registered against her across the country to Delhi. The Supreme Court gave this decision during the hearing held on Wednesday. After the hearing, the Supreme Court said that Delhi Police will now investigate all these FIRs. Many cases are registered against Nupur Sharma in West Bengal, Maharashtra, Telangana, Assam and Karnataka. During the hearing, the Supreme Court said that till the investigation reaches a conclusion, the interim relief from the arrest given to Nupur Sharma will remain intact. The court said that if there is a new FIR in future, then Delhi Police will investigate it too. On the other hand, Nupur can go to Delhi HC demanding cancellation of FIR.

Significantly, Nupur Sharma had moved the Supreme Court regarding her statements on Prophet Mohammad. He had demanded the Supreme Court to stay the arrest in the nine FIRs registered against him. Nupur Sharma had filed a petition in the Supreme Court saying that after unexpected and strong criticism by the Supreme Court, a threat to her life has arisen and she is receiving rape threats. He had said that since the FIR was the first in Delhi. Therefore, the FIR registered at other places should be linked with the case of Delhi.

Earlier on July 1, the Supreme Court reprimanded Nupur Sharma while hearing a petition seeking transfer of Nupur Sharma to Delhi for investigation of dozens of FIRs lodged against him in several states in the case of alleged remarks on Prophet Mohammad. Was. A vacation bench of Justices Surya Kant and JB Pardiwala had criticized the former BJP spokesperson for making "derogatory" remarks against the founder of a particular religious community on national television. The court had said that because of you, a single woman, there is tension in the whole country today and the atmosphere has deteriorated. After these sharp comments of the court, Nupur Sharma withdrew the petition. Now she has reached the Supreme Court again to get relief.

BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma made a controversial statement on Prophet Mohammad during a debate on a news channel, which became viral on social media and his statement was condemned worldwide. Protests started in different parts of the country against Nupur Sharma's statement. After this, a case was registered against him in Maharashtra on June 1 for hurting religious sentiments and on June 2, another case was registered against him in Maharashtra. In this way, a total of nine FIRs were registered against Sharma in the country. Seeing the growing controversy, BJP suspended Nupur Sharma from the party on 5 June.
