Alia Bhatt, the Bollywood superstar and leading lady has unfortunately tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. Alia confirmed the terrible news through her Instagram handle around midnight on Thursday.
She wrote in her Instagram story, "Hello all, I have tested positive for Covid-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care."
A Pinkvilla source disclosed that the actress was present at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sets of Gangubai Kathiawadi when her positive Covid-19 tests arrived.
Alia’s beau actor Ranbir Kapoor had recovered from testing positive for the virus only a few days back. Alia had revealed that she had gone under quarantine back when Ranbir had tested positive and had successfully tested negative.
She had posted back in March about it saying, "I've been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for COVID-19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctors, I am back to work from today. Thank you for all your good wishes. I am taking care and staying safe. You please do the same.”
Alia Bhatt is one of the most successful actresses in Hindi cinema, who is all set to make her south Indian cinema debut with SS Rajamouli’s RRR alongside big South Indian superstars such as Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
Back in February Alia had also gone ahead to launch her own production house named Eternal Sunshine, making her one of the very few actresses to produce films in Bollywood.
