According to a report by the Middle East Institute, a Washington DC-based think tank, Saif al-Adel is at the forefront of the race to become the head of the terrorist group Al Qaeda after Ayman al Zawahiri was killed by America

His real name is believed to be Mohamed Salah al-Din Zaidan, but there is a story behind the name Saif al-Adel. Saif al-Adel means 'Sword of Justice' which means sword of justice. That's why he changed his name.
Saif al-Adel has been a colonel in the Egyptian army. After the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar al-Sadat in 1988, he left Egypt to work with the Mujahideen in Afghanistan to drive out Soviet forces. It is believed that he went to Lebanon from here. In the empty fields of Khartoum, the terrorists were trained to make and use explosives.
