Akhilesh Yadav Accuses Yogi Govt of Orchestrating Sambhal Riots After SP Leaders Named in FIR
Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, blasted the Yogi Adityanath government on account of violence in Sambhal again.

Akhilesh Yadav Accuses Yogi Govt: On Monday, Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, blasted the Yogi Adityanath government on account of violence in Sambhal again. He said that this so-called "riot" is the handiwork of the UP government.
The former chief minister also demands that the police and administratively involved personnel be held accountable for the killing of four persons.
“The Yogi Adityanath-led government indulged in malpractice in the bypolls, looted votes and engineered trouble in Sambhal to hide it,” Yadav said, according to PTI.

“Some people say that after watching 'The Sabarmati Report' movie, some BJP leaders thought that they also want to become a big leader and have gotten this done (in Sambhal)," he added.
Yadav's comments come in the wake of the UP Police filing a total of seven FIRs linked to the violence that erupted following a court-ordered survey of a Mughal-era mosque.
SP MP Zia-ur-Rehman Barq and local SP MLA Iqbal Mehmood's son Sohail Iqbal were among the accused.

Prohibitory orders have been imposed in the district and entry of outsiders in Sambhal has been banned till November 30. Internet services are suspended in Sambhal tehsil and today the district administration has declared a holiday in all schools.
Tension had been brewing in Sambhal since November 19 when a first survey of the Jama Masjid was conducted on the court's orders after a petition claiming the site was that of a Harihar temple.
District officials said that the survey could not be completed on Tuesday and was planned for Sunday to avoid interference during afternoon prayers.
