Air quality in Ghaziabad in severe category, construction activities halted
Air pollution is increasing due to dust blowing from the roads. The air quality index in Ghaziabad, adjacent to the capital Delhi, has reached the severe category. To curb pollution, the third phase of GRAP has been implemented in NCR including Ghaziabad. Under this, some restrictions have been imposed, failing which a heavy fine will be imposed.
ADM City informed that after the implementation of Grape-3 in NCR, restrictions have been imposed on private construction activities. Violation of the rules will attract a fine of Rs 15 lakh. Right now notices are being issued to those who break the rules.
