Air Pollution: Due to the ban of BS-3 and BS-4 vehicles, the traders of Delhi suffered an economic shock

This winter, commercial and tourist vehicles are facing the double whammy of restrictions along with fog. The situation is that BS-4 diesel vehicles have been banned three times since November last year in view of the increased pollution along with the cold. Same situation BS-3 petrol vehicle is also under this ban. Due to this, there is a ban on the plying of about 30 thousand commercial vehicles and about 20 thousand tourist vehicles.
According to experts, this ban has been up to 25 days in total. Rajendra Kapoor, president of the Delhi Goods Transport Organisation, says that on an average 60,000 commercial vehicles travel daily in the national capital. Out of this, about half of the vehicles come under the purview of the ban. The problem is that there is no relief on matters like drivers' expenses, vehicle installment, road tax.
