Air India plane collides with taxi at Indira Gandhi International Airport
The front side (tip) of an Air India aircraft was damaged after it collided with a taxi at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI). This plane was to fly from New Delhi to Guwahati.

The front side (tip) of an Air India aircraft was damaged after it collided with a taxi at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI). This plane was to fly from New Delhi to Guwahati. The collision occurred when the plane was being reversed by connecting to the taxi. There were 182 passengers on board the plane at the time of the accident. Thankfully no one was injured in this accident. The matter is under investigation.
According to airport sources, this Air India plane was to take off at around 9.30 am on Tuesday. When the plane was full of passengers, the process of moving the plane from the bay to the runway was started. As soon as the process of towing it back from the cab started, its front part collided with the cab. After that the whole process was stopped. The passengers were de-boarded and after about three and a half hours were sent to Guwahati by another aircraft.
After this, the passengers were brought down immediately after stopping the plane. This plane was to fly to Jammu. After the accident, the passengers have been sent to Jammu by another aircraft. The investigation is still going on as to why and under what circumstances the accident happened.
