AIMIM leader arrested for making derogatory remarks on Shivling found in Gyanvapi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Danish Qureshi has been arrested by the Ahmedabad cybercrime team for making derogatory remarks on Hindu deities in Gujarat. According to the police, the sentiments of Hindus have been hurt by Danish Qureshi's tweet.
The content of the tweet hurt the sentiments of the majority community, so the team began a technical search for the Twitter handler. Danish Qureshi in his tweet had questioned the Shivling found in Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He had posted derogatory remarks on her.
Danish Qureshi was tracked down by the technical team of the police from Shahpur, later he was arrested. A case has been registered against them under various sections for outraging communal harmony and hurting religious sentiments, the official said. Separate complaints have been registered against Danish Qureshi at Naroda and Paldi police stations. Condemning the post, Hindu Sadhu Dr Jyoti Nath Swamy has demanded strict action against the AIMIM leader.
