Varun Gandhi said that in his interactions with the youth, he found that there were many doubts in his mind regarding the provisions of the scheme.

Protests are increasing in the country regarding the recently launched Agnipath scheme by the Modi government. At the same time, BJP MP Varun Gandhi has also taken a big step regarding this scheme. Gandhi has written a letter to the Defense Minister. In a letter to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Gandhi has questioned several provisions of the new short-term, contractual, armed forces recruitment scheme 'Agneepath' and feared that the scheme may create discontent among the youth.
The short-term (tenure of four years), contractual nature and no provision for pension in the scheme are some of the issues which have a lot of concern among the youth.
Varun Gandhi has also shared information about his letter to the Defense Minister on Twitter. Taking to Twitter, Varun Gandhi wrote, "There are many questions in the minds of the youth of the country regarding the 'Agneepath' scheme. In order to get the youth out of the state of confusion, the government should make its stand clear by putting forward the policy facts related to the scheme at the earliest. So that the youth energy of the country can be used positively in the right direction.
At the same time, Gandhi has also cited videos of youths reacting to his tweet. Quoting these videos, he said that when the government in the country is elected for five years, then why only four years are being given to the youth of the country to serve the country.
