Monkeypox was declared a 'global health emergency' by the World Health Organization (WHO) a week before the death toll outside Africa was reported.

The central government has floated a tender for making monkeypox vaccine. The government has brought Expression of Interest (EOI) to make its vaccine, that is, it has brought a tender. This EOI has come to make a test kit to make and test the monkeypox vaccine.
