This time inside the Home Ministry. It is reported that a blast occurred on Wednesday at a ministry mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan, in which employees and visitors were offering prayers. A Taliban official said the blast took place inside the interior ministry mosque on Wednesday afternoon.
The Interior Ministry is responsible for security and law enforcement in Afghanistan. Interior ministry spokesman Abdul Nafi tweeted, "Unfortunately, there has been an explosion in a mosque where some Home Ministry personnel and visitors were offering prayers. The details of the incident will be shared later." The spokesperson did not mention whether the mosque was located inside or near the ministry building. Last Friday, a suicide bomber attacked an education center located in a Shia-dominated area in the Afghan capital, Kabul. Initially it was reported that 19 people were killed and 27 others were injured in the attack, but later the United Nations reported that at least 46 girls and women were involved in the suicide bombing in Kabul on 30 September.
