Adya Mishra charms the judges with her performance in the ‘Theatre Round’ of Indian Idol Season 14

Mumbai : Sony Entertainment Television’s singing reality show, Indian Idol, has emerged as a national platform for aspiring singers to prove their mettle. The show features unparalleled talent with voices that hold the power to evoke a gamut of emotions. The stakes are higher than ever in Season 14, as Indian Idol is synonymous to being ‘music ka sabse bada gharana,’ and esteemed judges Kumar Sanu, Shreya Ghoshal, and Vishal Dadlani take the reins to discover India’s finest singing talents. In the upcoming weekend episodes, the iconic playback and classical singer Kavita Krishnamurthy will bring her musical brilliance to the theatre round as a guest judge.
But it was contestant Adya Mishra from Faridabad, who will charm the judges by singing 'Bhare Naina' from the movie 'Ra.One.’ Post her performance, judge Vishal Dadlani reveals some interesting trivia and says, "When Shekhar and I made this song, for a very long time we were looking for a voice who could do justice to the song. We auditioned many singers from the classical and playback worlds, but no one could do it. That is when Nandini Srikar came and she was the only one who was able to do both. Her voice had that unique element which made the song even more beautiful. Adya, you have that quality of voice.”
Furthermore, Adya is joined by her friends, and they request the judges - Vishal Dadlani and Kumar Sanu, danced on the song ‘Ghagra’ with them. Obliging their request, they dance together to famous Navratri songs.
