A woman officer accused an IAS officer of running a sex racket.
The National Commission for Women said that they have received several media reports, in which it has come to light that a woman officer has accused IAS Pawan Arora of running a sex racket and harassing her. The commission said that the woman officer has also said that Shanti Dhariwal, a minister in the Gehlot government, is defending Pawan Arora.

A three-member team headed by the chairman of the commission will go to Rajasthan to investigate the matter.
The National Commission for Women said that they have received several media reports, in which it has come to light that a woman officer has accused IAS Pawan Arora of running a sex racket and harassing her. The commission said that the woman officer has also said that Shanti Dhariwal, a minister in the Gehlot government, is defending Pawan Arora. The Commission said that taking cognizance of this, a three-member investigation team headed by Chairperson Rekha Sharma would visit the state to investigate the matter.
The commission has also written to the Director General of Police, Rajasthan, to look into the matter and ensure a fair and time-bound investigation. The Commission has demanded that if the allegations are found to be true then relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code should be invoked. The detailed action taken in the matter has also been asked to inform the commission within four days. Significantly, these allegations have been leveled by the Municipal Commissioner of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. She said that she was being transferred again and again and now APO has been done because she was not joining their racket. He said that Pawan Arora, chairman of the Housing Board, runs a sex racket. On the other hand, Rajasthan's Urban Development Minister Shanti Dhariwal is defending them.
