A Ugandan passenger was arrested for carrying 91 pellets of cocaine in her stomach
An alert customs official noticed the unusual movement of this passenger and on interrogation, she confessed that she had swallowed 91 pallets of cocaine.

In a bizarre incident, a Ugandan air passenger was arrested from the India Gandhi International Airport a few days ago for carrying about 1 kg of cocaine in her stomach in specially designed pellets.
An alert customs official noticed the unusual movement of this passenger and on interrogation, she confessed that she had swallowed 91 pallets of cocaine.
After arriving at the airport, she was unable to walk properly. A custom official noticed this and offered help to her. She refused and continued walking towards the exit gate. Once she crossed the green channel, he stopped and questions her.
According to the Ministry of Finance, “Sensing the unusual behaviour of the passenger, the Customs officers maintained a vigil on her. After a while, the passenger crossed the green channel and was approaching exit gate of International Arrival hall, when the customs officers finally intercepted her. Upon questioning, the passenger finally divulged that she had swallowed 91 capsules of narcotic substance.”
It added, “Since, it was an impending emergency, the passenger was admitted to the RML hospital. X-ray scanning revealed that the colon (ascending, descending) Sigmoid etc of the passenger was filled with oval pellets. Under expert medical supervision, an ejection procedure was carried out and it yielded total recovery of 91 pellets in batches.”
It took several days to complete the entire ejection process and during these days custom officials maintained a constant vigil at the hospital.
“These 91 pellets in turn yielded 992 grams of white powdery substance. Diagnostic test revealed the substance to contain cocaine,” it said.
