In a tragic situation, 7 Indian Army personnel lost their lives in a vehicle accident in the Turtuk sector of Ladakh, others also sustained serious injuries. Efforts are on to ensure the best treatment to the injured, the seriously injured are being transferred by the IAF to the Western Command.
According to the sources, the vehicle skidded off-road and fell in the Shyok river, resulting in injuries to all occupants. Army sources said all 19 soldiers injured in the accident were airlifted to the Western Command Hospital.
