53rd International Film Festival will be filled with stars, Karthik Aryan to perform in the opening ceremony
Apart from this, Spanish director Suara will be honored with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award. Eight of his films will also be screened at the festival.
The wait for the biggest film festival of Indian cinema is finally over. The 53rd edition of the International Film Festival of India is starting from today, which will continue till November 28. The festival, being held in Goa this year, will screen 280 films from 79 countries. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur will inaugurate this function. Films in different languages including Hindi will be premiered at the 53rd International Film Festival of India.
The International Film Festival is being organized in Panaji, Goa. Artists from all over the world will participate in it. The festival will open with Alma and Oscar, directed by Australian director Dieter Berner. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur will do the opening ceremony of this film festival. Bollywood celebrities – Ajay Devgan, Sunil Shetty and Prabhu Deva will also be present with him. The film festival will screen 25 feature films from India and 19 non-feature films at the 'Indian Panorama'. While 183 films will be part of the International Films programming. The grand premiere of 'Drishyam 2' will also be screened at the film festival.
A special section has been kept in this festival for Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner Asha Parekh. Three of his films (Teesri Manzil, Kati Patang and Do Badan) will be screened. Apart from this, Spanish director Suara will be honored with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award. Eight of his films will also be screened at the festival.
