4-Year-Old Boy Run Over by Speeding Car: The four-year-old child killed in an incident in Mumbai was hit by a speeding car which officials said was driven by a 19-year-old. This incident occurred in Wadala area as the child was playing on the road when the police said.
Bhushan Gole was reversing his Hyundai Creta. The accused has not fled, but has been arrested by the police.

"Prima facie, the driver was not under the influence of alcohol," a police official told news agency PTI.
The driver has been arrested under the relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is going on.
The four-year-old's family is one of many on the footpath in the area, and his father works.
This deadly Kurla bus crash
This is going to be the next tragic event on the long list of deadly road tragedie that hit the city recently. On December 9, a driver of a civic-run electric bus, operated by the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking, lost control of the vehicle, causing a devastating crash in Kurla. The crash killed seven people while injuring 42 others, damaging more than 20 vehicles. The police arrested the driver Sanjay More and charged him with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Concerns about road safety in Maharashtra A recent report from the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways states that Maharashtra is one of such Indian states with many road accidents. Between 2018 and 2022, the state recorded about 66,370 deaths due to road accidents. It is in the third place, after Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
During the winter session of Parliament, Union minister Nitin Gadkari expressed that 1,78,000 lives are claimed by roads every year; 60 percent of the victims belong to the age group of 18 to 34.
