The number of corona infected in the country is increasing once again. Meanwhile, the new variant of the virus, Omicron, is adding to the concern. On Thursday, 94 new cases of Omicron were reported in 6 states, of which 33 patients were found in Tamil Nadu alone and 23 in Maharashtra.

Apart from these, 14 cases have been reported in Telangana, 12 in Karnataka, 7 in Gujarat and 5 in Kerala. Now the number of patients infected with the new variant has increased to 355 across the country.
Maharashtra has the highest number of 88 cases of Omicron, while Delhi is second with 64 cases and Telangana is at number three with 38 cases.
