30-year-old Akash Ambani to command JIO: 65-year-old Mukesh resigns from the post of Director

Mukesh Ambani, one of the world's richest businessmen, is working on a plan to hand over his empire to the next generation. They want that after the death of father Dhirubhai Ambani, the dispute between brother Anil over sharing of stake should not happen between his children.

On Tuesday, Mukesh Ambani resigned as the director of Reliance Jio. The board of Reliance Jio has approved the appointment of his son Akash Ambani as the chairman of the board. Pankaj Mohan Pawar will take over as the Managing Director (MD) of the company.

The meeting of the Board of Directors was held on June 27 in which these decisions have been taken. The board has also approved the appointment of Raminder Singh Gujral and KV Choudhary as additional directors of the company. This appointment is for 5 years from 27 June 2022.
