2,678 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Maharashtra, eight died
These cases emerged from the examination of samples taken between June 15 and July 5. With the new cases of BA.2.75 in the state, the total cases increased to 30.

On Thursday, 2,678 new cases of corona virus infection were found in Maharashtra and eight patients died. The state health department gave this information. 20 new cases of Omicron's sub-form BA.2.75 have also been reported in the state. New cases of BA.2.75 form were found in Nagpur division, which includes Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur and Wardha districts.
In the new cases of BA.2.75 that came to the fore on Thursday, 11 are men and nine are women. However, all these infected have taken a dose of anti-coronavirus vaccine. The health department said that all these patients were either asymptomatic or mild and they have all recovered from the disease. According to the Health Department, the number of people infected so far in the state has increased to 79,95,729, while the death toll has reached 1,47,964. On Thursday, 540 cases of Covid-19 were found in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, two patients died. 71 new cases of infection were found in Nashik.
At present, there are 19,413 under-treatment patients of Covid-19 in the state and the mortality rate has been recorded at 1.85 percent. In the last one day, 3,238 patients became infection free, with which the number of patients who have recovered from the disease so far in the state increased to 78,28,352.
