26/11 terror attack: External Affairs Minister Jaishankar remembered the victims of 26/11
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the 26/11 terror attack is "a wound that will never heal" and his government is determined to ensure that such an incident does not happen again. Devendra Fadnavis, a Bharatiya Janata Party leader and state home minister, said there was intelligence about the attack but the then government could not act to prevent it.

On the completion of 14 years of the Mumbai terror attacks, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said those involved in the conspiracy of the terror attacks should be brought to justice. Jaishankar tweeted on the 14th anniversary of the attack, “Terrorism is a threat to humanity. Today, on 26/11, the whole world joins India in remembering its (attack) victims. Those who masterminded these attacks must be brought to justice.” He said that as responsible members of the international community “it is our responsibility to remember the suffering of the victims and to bring the terrorists to justice.” In a short video shared on social media, Jaishankar said that when it comes to terrorism, India will never ignore it. "We will never compromise and will never give up our endeavor to ensure justice," Jaishankar said.
President Draupadi Murmu on Saturday said on the anniversary of the Mumbai terror attack that the country remembers with gratitude all those it lost. The President paid tribute to the security personnel who fought valiantly and made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Murmu tweeted, “On the anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the nation remembers with gratitude all those we lost. We understand the pain of their loved ones and families. The nation pays tribute to the security personnel who fought valiantly and made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

Devendra Fadnavis was speaking at an event organized by Panchjanya, a magazine published by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, on the eve of the 14th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. He claimed that there was intelligence, but the government of the time could not act on it and there was no coordination.
On November 26, 2008, 10 terrorists of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba from Pakistan reached Mumbai by sea and in their terror act which lasted for 60 hours, 166 people including 18 security personnel were killed and many others were injured. In these, 140 Indian citizens and 26 citizens of 23 other countries were killed.
