Covid 19: 2.38 lakh new cases in the last 24 hours, 310 patients died

Corona cases have decreased for the second consecutive day in the country. On Monday, 2 lakh 38 thousand 18 new cases of corona have been found. During this, 305 people died and 1 lakh 57 thousand 421 patients were also cured.

Currently, the total number of active cases in the country is 17 lakh 36 thousand 628. Earlier on Sunday, 2 lakh 58 thousand 89 new cases were registered. There have been 20,071 fewer cases on Monday than on Sunday.

In the new guidelines for the treatment of corona, doctors have been advised to avoid giving steroids to the patient. This increases the risk of getting other infections like black fungus. A few days ago, the Chief of the Covid Task Force had expressed remorse over the excessive use of steroids and drugs in the second wave.

12,527 new corona cases were registered in Delhi on Monday. This is the fourth consecutive day that there has been a decline in the daily cases. 28,867 new cases were registered on January 13, 24,343 on January 14, 20,718 on January 15, 18,286 on January 16 and 12,527 on January 17. The positivity rate in Delhi is 27.99%.
