21 parties were invited for the closing ceremony of Bharat Jodo Yatra

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also joined brother Rahul Gandhi in Bharat Jodo Yatra on Saturday. The Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed from Chersu village in Awantipora on Friday after being canceled due to alleged security breach. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti also joined the yatra in Awantipora.

21 parties were invited for the closing ceremony of Bharat Jodo Yatra

Sources said today that 12 like-minded opposition parties will attend the closing ceremony of the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Monday. 21 political parties were invited for the ceremony, but some parties are not attending due to security reasons. Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and TDP are among those parties which will not attend the ceremony.

MK Stalin-led Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Tejashwi Yadav-led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, CPI ( M), CPI, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Kerala Congress, Farooq Abdullah-led National Conference, Mehbooba Mufti's Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Shibu Soren's Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will participate in the function in Srinagar.

Rejecting the allegations, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of the area Vijay Kumar on Saturday said that there was no lapse in security during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's January 27 "security lapse" incident and sought his personal intervention in ensuring adequate security for the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. demanded. Kharge said in his letter, “We are expecting a huge turnout at the Bharat Jodo Yatra in the next two days and also a huge public meeting at the function to be held on January 30 in Srinagar. Senior leaders and leaders of other important political parties are participating in the closing ceremony to be held on the day. In his letter to Amit Shah, the Congress President said, "If you can personally intervene in this matter and inform the concerned authorities I shall be grateful if you can advise on providing adequate security till the conclusion of the yatra and the celebrations on 30 January in Srinagar." After covering the States and two Union Territories, it will conclude in Srinagar tomorrow.
