17 cases registered during farmers' agitation will be returned

The Delhi government has approved the withdrawal of 17 cases registered by the police during protests against the controversial agriculture law. Orders have been issued in this regard. Earlier, the central government had promised the farmers that the cases registered during the sit-in protests would be withdrawn. This decision of the Delhi government is also in accordance with the promise made by the central government.

During the farmers' agitation in Delhi, the police had registered cases against many protesters including farmer leaders. The police had registered cases under relevant sections against the agitators who were staging a sit-in on the borders of Delhi.
