11 people died due to lightning in Bihar, CM Nitish Kumar announced 4 lakh compensation

The Chief Minister also appealed to the people to be alert about bad weather and follow the suggestions issued by the Disaster Management Department to avoid accidents. He said stay home and stay safe in bad weather.

11 people died due to lightning in Bihar, CM Nitish Kumar announced 4 lakh compensation

11 people have died due to lightning and thunderstorm in different parts of Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each for the family members of the victims. In a statement issued on Monday, the Chief Minister said that four people have died in Purnia and Araria and three in Supaul due to thunderstorm and lightning. He said that my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. A compensation of Rs 4 lakh will be given immediately to the dependents of the deceased.

The Chief Minister also appealed to the people to be alert about bad weather and follow the suggestions issued by the Disaster Management Department to avoid accidents. He said stay home and stay safe in bad weather.

राज्य के 3 जिलों में वज्रपात से 11 लोगों की मृत्यु दुःखद। मृतकों के आश्रितों को तत्काल 4-4 लाख रू० अनुग्रह अनुदान दिया जाएगा। खराब मौसम में पूरी सतर्कता बरतें। वज्रपात से बचाव हेतु आपदा प्रबंधन विभाग द्वारा जारी सुझावों का अनुपालन करें। खराब मौसम में घरों में रहें, सुरक्षित रहें।

"My deepest condolences to the affected families. An ex-gratia amount of Rs.4 lakh each will be given to the next of kin of all the deceased immediately," he said. The Chief Minister also appealed to the people to be alert in bad weather and follow the suggestions issued by the Disaster Management Department to avoid accidents.
