10 new cases of Omicron were found in the country, out of which 6 are from Maharashtra

10 new cases of Omicron have been found in the country. These include 6 cases from Maharashtra and 4 from Gujarat. 6 new cases of Omicron have been confirmed in Maharashtra. Out of these, 4 cases have come up in the investigation conducted at Mumbai Airport. At the same time, one Omicron positive has been found in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. Maharashtra (54) currently has the highest number of Omicron infected in the country. At the same time, the total number of Omicron infected found so far in the country has gone up to 153.

A 23-year-old student has been found Omicron positive in Rajkot, Gujarat. This student is a citizen of Tanzania and studies in a university in Rajkot. Rajkot DM Arun Mahesh Babu told that this is the first Omicron case in the district.

Omicron has been confirmed among 3 people who returned from abroad in Gujarat. 2 infected had returned from the UK. At the same time, 1 infected had returned from Dubai. A 45-year-old NRI and a 15-year-old child are also included among the infected returned from the UK. The number of Omicron infected in the state has now increased to 11.
