10 lakh government posts will be filled in one and a half year : PM Narendra Modi
The departments have geared up. Now the campaign of 10 lakh recruitment will start with immediate effect. This will be a great campaign as there has not been such a massive recruitment in the government in the last several decades.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi government has decided to take quick steps. Therefore, while there is a constant focus on the development of the private sector, there is a preparation to fill the backlog in government jobs in a jiffy. The Prime Minister has given clear instructions to all the departments of the Central Government to do 10 lakh recruitments in mission mode in the next one and a half years. According to the estimated figures, out of 40 lakh central posts, nine lakh sanctioned posts are currently vacant.
In a meeting with the Secretaries of the Central Government, Prime Minister Modi had instructed them to take all steps to promote employment. After that, preparations had also started in some departments but on Tuesday, the Prime Minister made it clear by making a public announcement that the round of ground assessment has been completed.
After Covid, there is a sharp increase in employment in every sector from this year. In the case of employment in the private sector, a growth of 30-40 percent is being seen as compared to last year. Despite many adverse circumstances, the basis of Indian economy is sound and the government is again claiming that by 2026, India will become a five trillion dollar economy. Railways, Defense (Civil), Home, Posts and Revenue Departments account for about 90 percent of the central jobs. The government has presented a separate blueprint for defense. Most of the recruitment of 10 lakhs will be in these five departments only.
