Sonam Kapoor Breaks Down on Ramp in Emotional Tribute to Late Rohit Bal | Watch

Sonam Kapoor Breaks Down on Ramp: At the Blenders Pride X FDCI Fashion Tour 2025, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor graced the runway with deep emotion, offering a heartfelt tribute to the legendary fashion designer Rohit Bal, whose influence on the Indian fashion industry remains unmatched.

Held on February 1 at Le Meridien in Gurugram, the event was not only a showcase of fashion but also a poignant celebration of Bal’s life and legacy, following his passing at the age of 63.

Sonam Kapoor pays emotional tribute to Rohit Bal

For the event, Sonam wore a stunning white outfit, which was complemented by a heavily embellished long ivory jacket. She styled her hair in a retro fashion, adding red flowers for an elegant touch.

The runway show served as a heartfelt tribute to Rohit Bal, featuring an array of prominent personalities from different industries.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, fashion designer JJ Valaya, and actors Eesha Gupta, Rahul Dev, and Mughda Godse also participated, walking the ramp in honor of the late designer.

Several videos of the actress walking the ramp at the Blenders Pride X FDCI Fashion Tour 2025 emerged.

In the video, Sonam can be seen breaking down as she greeted the audience with folded hands.

Sonam took to her Instagram to share the photos from the night and wrote, "An honor to walk in tribute to the legendary Rohit Bal at @fdciofficial x @blenderspridefashiontour."

Several videos of the actress walking the ramp at the Blenders Pride X FDCI Fashion Tour 2025 emerged on social media platforms.

Sonam added, "His artistry, vision, and legacy have shaped Indian fashion in ways beyond measure."

"Stepping onto the runway in his memory was both emotional and inspiring—celebrating a designer who was, and always will be, an icon. ✨???? #RohitBal #LegendaryLegacy #FDCIxBlendersPrideFashionTour," she concluded.

In an interview with ANI, Sonam Kapoor expressed her emotions about walking the ramp in a Rohit Bal creation. She said, “I am so happy to be here for Gudda. I have been privileged to wear his clothes many times and to have him design clothes for me also many times. It feels wonderful to do probably his last show. The celebration of heritage, the celebration of craftsmanship… the idea is to celebrate everything beautiful and joyful. That was him. And I think in the same way, I love wearing clothes exactly like that.”
