Why does Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India think Omicron is a silent killer?

While a section of scientists is of the view that Omicron, the new variant of Sars_Cov_2, is a mild virus that doesn’t cause severe Covid-19, the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana believes that it is a silent killer.
When the senior lawyer Vikas Singh, who is the head of the Supreme Court Bar Association, requested the Chief Justice NV Ramana to start regular physical hearing of all cases as daily active cases are going down, the Chief Justice said, "Omicron is a silent killer, you know. I suffered in the first wave but recovered in four days, but now, in this wave, it has been 25 days and I am still suffering.”
Supreme Court judges had fallen sick due to Covid-19 as last month, according to reports, 10 judges had tested positive and a lot of Supreme Court staff have also contracted the virus.
Since the pandemic has started in India, the Supreme Court had adopted an online hearing of the cases. However of late, it adopted the blended mode in which physical hearing takes place only for two days and for the rest of the three days, cases are taken up through an online medium.
Singh wanted to convince the court that not only Omicron is a mild virus, the daily cases are also decreasing and normalcy should prevail in the courts.
However, giving his own example, the chief justice said, "We will see."
